I met Amanda the very beginning of college when I started foundations classes in art school at UofL. We met in drawing class, which feels like forever ago, and hit it off from the beginning. Drawing class ended and I would see her in the halls but that was about it. Over a year later in the second class of the photography program our paths crossed again and our friendship was cemented. The group of classmates we had during that time was phenomenal and Amanda and I are still best friends with some of the people we met then. I’ll never forget the time she let me pour glitter all over her for a photo project. Silver glitter lingered around the art school hallways for weeks.
Amanda is truly one of kind. She is weird, hilarious, beautiful, and a walking encyclopedia all at the same time. I was so over the moon for her when she called me shortly after Charley had proposed to her. This girl deserves the best and I’m so glad she found it in someone who complements her personality so completely. Their story is so romantic – it begins 10 years ago when they met at a youth program. They’ll be starting a new chapter in a few months when they tie the knot at a private villa in Tuscany.
I was so completely honored when she asked me to photograph their wedding and engagement photos. I’ve loved getting to know her over the years and I’m so excited to be a part of her new life with Charley. P.S. Her red dress in the last few photos belonged to her mother. It was the dress her mom was wearing when her dad proposed.
