I am so excited to share this Texas wedding as well as my new brand and updated website! Tyler and Sarah’s wedding came at me like a whirlwind. I got a call and suddenly I was flying to Dallas a month later. I love truly getting to know those I photograph and this one was better than most in that way. I went to Sarah’s bridal shower two days before the wedding, ate tasty food and celebrated with them at their rehearsal dinner, ran around downtown Dallas taking photos in the dark the night before their wedding and even spent the night before in the same hotel room that Sarah and her bridesmaids slept in. As weird as that might sound considering I had talked to her only two or three times on the phone in the month prior it all just fell right into place and I suddenly felt like I had been friends with Sarah and Tyler for years.
These two are absolutely amazing and such genuine, Christlike people. I truly felt honored to document their day. Their love for each other is so clear and tangible and not in a fairy tale sort of way, but the way that speaks of deeply knowing one another and accepting the whole person. Can we just talk about the donut wall, geodes from they’ve collected and well as some from Tyler’s grandfather, and that killer mustang… ah, take me back.
I’ll be posting lots of lovely Texas sessions, including their photos from the night before their wedding, over the next couple of weeks.
