This time last year I was getting ready for 2013 and praying that God would bless me with more photography work than I knew what to do with and He certainly exceeded anything I hoped for. Looking back at the end of every year it’s amazing how much I’ve grown as a person and photographer and this year was no exception. 2013 was the first year that weddings became my primary photography work and I am so grateful.
I wanted to share some of my very favorite images and milestones from 2013 with you all.
We celebrated a few great things in our house this year. We adopted a beagle puppy, Pipin, in January and he has tested our patience and love more than we could have ever imagined, his energy is unmatched. I invested in a better camera in March and I am still obsessed with it. We went to Atlanta, Georgia to go to the NCAA Final Four and Championship and were able to watch my team, the Louisville Cardinals cut the net. I began my senior year of college, although I’ll have three more classes to take as a fifth year senior to get both of my degrees. We celebrated our first anniversary as a married couple. Lauren W Photography became a legal business. We hiked a portion of the Appalachian Trail. I received my first legit photography awards. I turned 21. I completed and passed my BFA Review in preparation for my senior show in the spring. Photography led me to meet the most incredible clients and friends. The moments I have been able to be a part of have truly taken my breath away at times.
Thank you to all the beautiful souls that stepped in front of my lens and supported my dream, I couldn’t have done it without you! 2014, I’m coming for ya!
